So I learned something today. Bob, who I've rarely seen fazed by anything, can be fazed by that tiny little pin that injects a vaccination into your skin. I guess we all have our weak spots - he will get even with me later when I find a cockroach in my bed. Fortunately for both of us, we've had most of the shots for previous trips. Now all that's left is Bob's little typhoid pills, yum yum. We learned something else too - it's amazing how many illnesses are carried by mosquitos. So I suppose they're not just pesky and annoying but somewhat threatening, those little buggers. AND I learned that Lake Victoria is infested with bilharzia. This is not a man-eating fish, as many of you might assume, but rather a teeny tiny parasite that we will avoid with as much effort as we would avoid said man-eating fish.
While we were exploring in blogger, I discovered that the "little tools" I mentioned in my earlier email actually only showed up in posting view, so only I can view them. I guess no little buggies for your viewing pleasure, then. Oh well. At any rate, still for your viewing pleasure, friend Bill has been playing with the blog and discovering all kinds of tricks to make it great! (We don't know these tricks - so it probably will not receive any other facelifts).
Meantime, the days are still ticking along, and we are so grateful for the support we've received thus far. In less than two weeks we'll buy our plane tickets and then things will TRULY be on the go.
Happy Easter to you all - Christ is risen!
